Sealing Mazeras through long rains
Mazeras is durable in Kenyan sun, but it is still a natural sedimentary stone. Dust, splash from driveways and long rains will mark it if you never look at it again. The aim is not a plastic shine. The aim is to slow water uptake where it matters and let the grain stay honest.
A simple rhythm
Sweep or rinse dust before it becomes mud in the joints. On exterior cladding and paving, a breathable sealer ? specified for natural stone ? helps in splash zones and pool edges. Interiors usually need far less: occasional dusting and a pH-neutral wash. Avoid harsh acids that bleach the face you paid for.
Ask before you experiment
If a wall has already been installed, bring a photograph to the yard. We would rather tell you what not to put on the stone than have you inherit a patchy, over-sealed facade. Call 0723 273 685 or write to info@jemkosmazeras.co.ke.
