Stone with a memory. Architecture with soul.

Jemkos Mazeras curates Kenya's most expressive natural stone — coastal Mazeras in ochre, slate, rust and gold for homes, gardens and civic spaces that last a lifetime.

The house of stone

Kenya's coastal sandstone, composed for contemporary living.

Mazeras is a sedimentary stone mined in sheets from the coast near the town that gave it its name. It arrives with flowered faces, bush-hammered grain and a palette that moves from pale gold to charcoal a material that feels both ancestral and quietly luxurious.

At Jemkos we select, grade and supply Mazeras for architects, contractors and homeowners who want a finish that concrete cannot imitate. Our yard on Ngong Road, opposite Showground, is where projects begin: samples in hand, light on the stone, a conversation about how a wall or walkway should feel at dusk.

Earth tones

Gold, rust, grey, black and flowered faces ? selected so palettes stay coherent across walls, floors and landscape.

Weathered well

Resistant to Kenyan sun, rain and UV fade. Sealed where needed, it ages with dignity rather than plastic shine.

Cooler underfoot

Lower thermal mass than dark concrete pavers ? preferred for patios, pool surrounds and barefoot courtyards.

Indoor to gate

From TV feature walls to pillars, driveways and boundary walls ? one material language for the whole plot.
